Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a program that provides voluntary, confidential, and professional assistance to help employees and their families resolve problems that affect their personal lives or performance at work. Services include problem evaluation and assessment, individual counseling, and referral to community services.

Program Provisions
EAP counselors are available to support IPFW employees and their family members with issues such as:
- Stress or anxiety
- Marital difficulties
- Workplace conflict
- Alcohol or drug concerns
- Loss of spouse or loved one
- Financial or legal problems
- Relationship problems
Purdue 500 and Incentive PPO Members receive two sessions per covered person, offering triage and referral or brief treatment options by EAP. If referred, insurance will pick up visits 3-8 free of charge.
United Health Care Members, "Opt-Out" Employees, Indiana University Paid Staff and Management Referrals receive up to 8 sessions per covered person to provide both treatment and/or referral to appropriate professionals, by EAP, as necessary.
